Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the QuoteSparkmobile app for Android and this website handle information. It is written for the person using the app. Throughout, “we” means the developer of QuoteSpark, contactable at muhammadkamran8586@gmail.com.

QuoteSpark has no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location. We do not use analytics SDKs, and we do not build a profile of you. The one third-party SDK that collects data is the advertising SDK described under Advertising.

The following never leaves your phone and is never transmitted to us. It is stored in the app’s private storage and is removed when you uninstall the app:

• Quotes you save to Favorites.
• Drafts and finished designs in your Studio.
• Quotes you write yourself.
• Your preferences, such as whether the daily reminder is on.
• A cached copy of the public quote library, so the app works offline.

Because this data is stored only on your device, we cannot recover it for you if you uninstall the app, clear its storage, or switch phones.

If you choose a photo as a design background, the app reads it directly from your device and composes your design locally. The photo is not uploaded to us or to anyone else.

When you export a design, the resulting image is written to your device’s photo gallery. The app requests photo library permission solely for these two purposes. You can decline or revoke that permission in your system settings; the rest of the app continues to work.

The editor has an optional feature that writes an original quote for you. Only when you tap that button does the app contact our server, and only the following is sent:

• The topic you typed, if you entered one. Please do not put personal or sensitive information in this field.
• An anonymous device identifier.This is a random string the app generates on first launch. It is not your device’s hardware ID or advertising ID, is not linked to your identity, and cannot be used to contact you. Its only purpose is to stop a single installation from overwhelming the service, by limiting how many quotes each device can request. It is discarded when you uninstall the app.

Our server passes your topic to Google’s Gemini API to generate the text, then returns the quote to your device. Google processes that request under its own terms; see the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service. We do not store the quotes generated for you, and we do not retain a history of your prompts beyond the short-lived server logs described below.

If you never use this feature, your device never contacts our server at all.

The browsable collection of quotes comes from DummyJSON, a free public API. Fetching it requires no account and sends none of your personal information, though — as with any internet request — that service will see your IP address. The library is cached on your device afterwards.

QuoteSparkis free because it shows ads, served by Google AdMob. To deliver ads, measure them, and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects information from your device, including your IP address, device and app details, ad interactions, and your device’s advertising ID. We never see this information in a form that identifies you. Google processes it under its own policy; see how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before any personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice any time from Settings → Ad Privacy Options. Everywhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your phone’s system settings.

Like nearly all web services, our server and hosting provider automatically record basic technical information about requests, including IP address, timestamp, and error details. These logs exist to keep the service running securely and to diagnose faults. They are not used to profile you, are not combined with anything else, and are retained only for a short period before being discarded.

If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules those notifications locally on your device using quotes already stored there. Nothing is sent to a push server, and we do not know whether or when you receive them. Turning the reminder off in Settings cancels them immediately.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. The only third parties involved are the providers named above: Google (AdMob for ads, and Gemini only when you use AI generation), DummyJSON (the public quote library), and our website host. We share nothing with data brokers.

QuoteSpark is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since the app collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to delete — but if you have a concern, please write to us.

Because we hold no information that identifies you, there is no account to close and no personal data for us to export or erase on request. You remain in full control of everything the app stores:

• Delete individual favorites and drafts from within the app at any time.
• Clear the app’s storage, or uninstall it, to remove everything at once, including the anonymous device identifier.
• Revoke photo or notification permissions in your system settings.
• Change your ad consent from Settings → Ad Privacy Options (where offered), or limit ad tracking in your system settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. You are welcome to contact us to exercise them, and we will explain what we do and do not hold.

Traffic between the app and our server is encrypted over HTTPS, and requests are authenticated so the service only answers our app. No system is perfectly secure, but because we deliberately store no personal data on our servers, there is very little about you that could be exposed.

If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
